ERC Starting Grant
In July 2018 I was granted a European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant on my project "Dynamic Modeling of Labor Mobility and Human Capital Accumulation (DYMOLAMO)" for about 1.4 million euros for the next five years. The outcome had some impact in different media outlets including: MOVE, UAB, Barcelona GSE, ERC, La Vanguardia, 20 Minutos, Europa Press, Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades, and EconomiaDeHoy.es.
"La Caixa" Foundation Grant
"La Caixa" Foundation, in partnership with the Barcelona GSE, selected five reserch projects led by Barcelona GSE affiliated professors and financed them with a grant for the next two years. A project of mine was among the five selected proposals. Find more about it here and here.
Barcelona GSE Summer Forum conferences

Dissemination talk at a student-organized roundtable
In April of 2017, I gave a dissemination talk about immigration and the labor market (in Catalan) as a part of a roundtable about Open Borders at University of Barcelona. The talk was streammed on Facebook Live (I appear at the end, as I was the last speaker).
Barcelona GSE 10th anniversary
In year 2017, the Barcelona GSE celebrated its 10th anniversary. To conmemorate it, the school launched a series of videos. In this one I shortly appear teaching in one of the Barcelona GSE Master programs (minute 1:48).
Barcelona GSE Summer School in Labor Economics
In 2015 I started teaching a course on the "Economics of Migration" as a part of the Barcelona GSE Summer School in Labor Economics. To publsize the Summer School, the Barcelona GSE created this and this videos in which I appear (among other people) share my experience as instructor.
Our research on marriage and health, selected as a finalist for a science award
By February 2015, our article "Does Marriage Make you Healthier?" (with Nezih Guner and Yuliya Kulikova) was selected as one of the eight finalists of the Fifth La Vanguardia Science Award that recognizes excellence on research produced in Spain during a given year. It appeared on paper here and here, and online here, here, and here.

In 2015, our article "Does Marriage Make you Healthier?" (with Nezih Guner and Yuliya Kulikova) draw some attention from the media. The Economist featured this post and this podcast on the blog The Economist explains. Other posts appeared in VOXeu, Barcelona GSE Focus, and in Nada es Gratis (the latter in Spanish). I was interviewed by some TV shows, including the News in Israel Channel 1 (video, in which I appear after minute 1:24), and L'Illa de Robinson, in the Catalan channel El Punt Avui TV (video). I was also interviewed in some radio shows, like Esto Me Suena - Las Tardes del Ciudadano García in Radio Nacional de España (podcast), Hoy por Hoy in Caracol Radio - Colombia (podcast), Esto Es lo que Hay in Caracol Radio - Miami (podcast), Aragón Fin de Semana in Aragón Radio (podcast), La Tarde en Euskadi in Onda Vasca (podcast), La Tribu de Catalunya Radio in Catalunya Radio (podcast), El Matí in Cope Catalunya (podcast), and A Bona Hora in Radio Sabadell (podcast), and it was featured by some stations featured in in their news bulletins, like Rac1 (podcast), Cope Catalunya (podcast), and Radio Flaixbac (podcast). In 2004, while I was an undergraduate student, José Luis Groizard and I were awarded the Premi de Recerca sobre Cooperació Internacional al Desenvolupament by the Govern de les Illes Balears. This was briefly mentioned in Diario de Mallorca, Ultima Hora, and Diari de Balears.
