ABOUT

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Economic History of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona since Fall 1994, after I earned my PhD from the Department of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at the Northwestern University. I am also a MOVE Research Fellow since the creation of the institute in 2009 and a Barcelona School of Economics Affiliated Professor.

My main research interests are agent-based computational economics and its methodology, complexity theory, evolutionary game theory and models of bounded rationality. I am also interested in socio-ecological systems and the study of ancient societies from a rigurous social sciences perspective.
